Gravesham’s Top Companies 2023 Celebrate
It was an evening of fun and celebration as Gravesham’s top companies celebrated this year’s Gravesham Business Awards which the team here at Gullands are proud to sponsor.
The entry standard was once again very high, so this year the judges decided to have 13 finalists who brought their teams along to the Inn on the Lake in early November for the awards ceremony.
This year there were winning categories rather than an overall winner and after the certificate presentation, the first winner to be announced was Apprentice of the Year. This went to Elizabeth Young of the fitness clinic Revitalize.
The public voted for two People’s Choice Awards via the award’s website which went to the A2’s favourite café, Nell’s as well as The Panic Escape Room Ltd.
The Best Professional Services Business 2023 award went to consultancy firm Embridge, while the Best Business In The Care Sector 2023 was won by long-established Austen Allen Homecare.
A popular win for the Best Community-Focused Business 2023 went to Cyclopark, which draws in customers from a wide area.
The Iron Pier Brewery famous for its wide selection of ales, won Best Hospitality Business 2023, with the Best High Street Business 2023 sponsored by the FSB went to The Panic Room Escape Ltd.
The local RNLI station was the charity for the evening and funds raised a handsome total of £746. Station manager Ian Smith said they had saved 76 lives since its inception in 2002. Currently the station runs with 60 volunteers.
Julie Hobson, Partner at Gullands and one of the judges comments: “There are a number of exciting and growing businesses in Gravesham and we are delighted to be recognising their achievements with these awards. Congratulations to all this year’s winners and finalists.”
The sponsors of the awards are Barnes Roffe, Gravesham Borough Council, Gullands, Handelsbanken, PrepWorld, Sealeys and Softforge.
